1/28/2010 - Updated Message from Chris Marziale of IM Consultant to AB Women's Ministries..

Good Morning – I have been receiving many emails and phone calls about bandages for Haiti.  As you know an email as sent to roll bandages.   Many of you have gotten the message out.  I have updated information that I would like for you to pass onto the women.  

Please DO NOT send bandages to New Windsor MD until we find out where they are to go.  We are still in the process of working this out.  We want to make sure when they are sent they go to the right place and is cost effective.

 

This is a limited project.  I am asking that the women roll bandages until February 20th .  By then we should know where they are to go.  ALL bandages should be mailed by then.

 

Please also share with the women that Congo continues to need bandages as well. 

Health and Baby Kits go to Brethren Service Center in New Windsor.  They should NOT be put into the same boxes with roller bandages .  These are two separate projects.

 

Thank the women for me for all they are doing and their efforts into helping with the Haiti Crisis, whether it is giving to OGHS , doing Health/Baby kits or rolling bandages.

1/22/10 - New Information received from Chris Marziale, IM Consultant to AB Women's Ministries

HAITI NEEDS HELP WITH ROLLER BANDAGES .

I found out today that roller bandages are needed in Haiti as well as the Congo.   So this is a plea for roller bandages.  I am asking that everyone do 3” x 10 yds.for Haiti and follow the assignments given for 2009 – 2010 for Congo.  BOTH AREAS are very important.  Last years the roller bandage supply going to Congo was down so they too continue to be in great need.

 

Please DO NOT TO DROP CONGO during this emergency for Haiti.

1/14/10 - New Information from the National American Baptist Women's Ministries Website:

Church World Service (CWS) desperately needs hygiene kits and baby kits. CWS's inventory of kits in New Windsor is down to just one container of kits (8700 blankets, 3870 baby kits and 25,000 hygiene kits). Those kits will be packed up and shipped to Haiti as soon as possible. CWS is appealing to all denominations to encourage churches, women's groups, etc. to provide more kits; they are greatly needed.  

Please follow the normal procedures of preparing kits and shipping them to New Windsor. No school kits are requested at this time.
