2011-2013 Program Theme: “In the Potter’s Hands”
Based on Jeremiah 18:1-6, the AB Women's Ministries 2011-2013 program theme "In the Potter's Hands" will help women and girls explore what it means to be shaped by God to God's service. Through Bible studies, devotionals, and programs, women and girls will become aware of how God uses their gifts, limitations, and experiences of their lives to shape them into the women they are today-vessels capable of being used by God for his glory and the good of creation.
The 2011-2013 ministry resource has been produced in two books: one available in March 2011 for the 2011-2012 program year and the second available in March 2012 for the 2012-2013 program year. Each book has two Bible studies, two devotionals, an AB GIRLS program resource, Women's Sunday materials, Love Gift dedication, Vital Partners dedication, White Cross dedication, Officer installation, seasonal program ideas, and mission study theme information and articles.

G.I.R.L.S. Resources on CD
The G.I.R.L.S. resources on CD helps girls develop in their relationship with God through Jesus Christ, grow in their relationships with authentic, caring adults, and with one another. It equips girls to be critical thinkers to interpret the culture in which they live, helps them become secure in applying Biblical truths to everyday life, and embraces a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, cross-cultural context.
Leadership 101: Leadership Training for Ministry with Girls is for leaders of girls' ministries, to help them learn how girls develop through childhood and teenage years. Leaders learn how to meaningfully interact with girls, and how family and community can be components of the girls' ministry. The Leadership 101 resource includes graphics, articles, and advice for working with three different age levels.
Wholeness is a CD in the G.I.R.L.S. series that includes 36 topical sessions for girls (12 sessions for grades 3-5; 12 sessions for grades 6-8; and 12 sessions for grades 9-12), and mix-and-match activities to best fit the needs of your group! The sessions are organized around "body," "mind," and "spirit"-dealing with everything from caring for the body God gave us, to deepening one's prayer life.

Biblical Reflections and Bible Studies for Women
Words of Vitality is a collection of seven biblical reflections for women. First appearing in Vital Woman Magazine throughout its five years of publication, these reflections were among the favorites from the magazine. Discussion questions are included in Words of Vitality, making it an ideal resource for personal or group use.
Women of the Wild is a series of six Bible studies for women, written by Joyce Anderson-Reed, an American Baptist missionary in Mexico. Women of the Wild helps women delve into their God-given creativity.
Women Who Weep is another series of six Bible Studies for women, written by Joyce Anderson-Reed. Women Who Weep gives women an opportunity to open up to the experience of grief, discovering how God can use tears to speak to us and through us.
Each of the 3 resources listed above contains reflection and discussion questions, making them appropriate for individual or group study.

Leader's Reader
Leader's Reader is the source for officer information and wonderful program helps, resource recommendations, and news and events in AB Women's Ministries.
Leader's Reader is published bi-monthly: January, March, May, July, September, and November. Women receive up-to-date information quickly. In addition, in the event of a sudden change or new information that needs to be disseminated between the normal LR publication dates, the Leader's Reader subscribers will receive that information immediately.
If you have no access to email or the website, and don't know anyone willing to print one off for you, you may request a print version to be mailed to you directly from our office. There is a cost involved in this option to help defray the expense of photocopying and postage: we request $15 per year for the mailing of a print version. Mail your $15 and subscription request to AB Women's Ministries, c/o Phyllis Brown, P.O. Box 851, Valley Forge, PA 19482-0851.
AB GIRLS Leader E-Newsletter
The National Leadership Team of AB GIRLS developed the AB GIRLS Leader E-Newsletter to disseminate important information for leaders in ministry with girls. AB GIRLS Leader E-Newsletter, written by members of the National Leadership Team, includes excellent program helps and ideas, resource recommendations, national news and events of interest to girls, and ideas shared by women in ministry with girls across the country.
AB GIRLS Leader is published quarterly: March, June, September, December. In addition, in the event of a sudden change or new information that needs to be disseminated between 'the normal AB GIRLS Leader publication dates, the subscribers will receive that information immediately.
Please note: AB GIRLS Leader is available only through email or as PDF on the AB Women's Ministries website (in AB GIRLS Resources). There is no mailed print option available.

]]>Our Fall Board meeting will instead be held at the Holiday Inn in Auburn NY, where we were for our Annual Convention this past April. Dates are still the same, October 28-29, 2011.
We extend our prayers to all those in the areas affected by the flooding. AB Men are assisting in the area with a Disaster Relief Trailer but it will be a long process to recover from. For more information on how you can help the AB Men please contact them through their website.
