Updated February 3rd to add a quick link to the CONVENTION page where ONLINE Registration soon to be available.
It seems like we were all just sharing hugs and laughter at our 2019 Convention, yet here we are already planning for our April 2020 Convention in Rochester, New York.
The theme this year is Sisters Seeking Wholeness, utilizing the scripture from 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 (NRSV).
One of the best ways we can seek wholeness is to come together. Each year in April, we join in body and in spirit from across the state at convention. We are, in fact, Sisters Seeking Wholeness. Through our joy and laughter, sharing in our gatherings, workshops, meals, interactions and more, our goal is to supply that wholeness to each other. From convention, we can return home and share that wonderful feeling with others in our churches, community, and beyond.
Convention is a time when women and girls of all ages are encouraged to share experiences, knowledge, goals, and dreams in an intentionally intergenerational setting as we explore how much more we are alike than different. There is something to experience for everyone at any age.
Your convention committee is busy working on new workshops, events, and entertainment that will soon be revealed. We are actively engaged in preparing for online registration and payments to make our registration process even easier. Your 2020 Convention Times registration package is available for viewing and printing and we are working to get our new online registration and payment up and running soon, but don’t let that stop you from preparing for Convention now.
Download our Save the Date poster. Please, print and post these in your churches, talk about it with other women and girls, share them on your websites, Facebook pages, Snapchat, Instagram and other media outlets. By getting the word out, we hope to inspire more to join in this phenomenal once a year experience.
For those that may need funding help to attend, by getting out the word early, we hope that we can provide an opportunity for you and your groups to put together the funds to attend through fundraisers or other donations. In addition, we have our Opportunity Fund. March 1st, 2020 is the deadline for applying to the Opportunity Fund for monies toward our upcoming convention so it is important to get your application in early.
Have questions? Shoot us a quick email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re looking forward to seeing each of you in April. Until then, may the Lord bless and keep you safe always.
Your 2020 Convention Committee,
Cindy Kamm & Joyce Camp, Co-Chairs ABWM-NYS
