GivingTuesday 2019 – Bridges & Gateways Endowment
I know, I know you are being bombarded by the sales, the final deals, and the GivingTuesday announcements. But please take a moment and think about this special GivingTuesday opportunity. For 2019 American Baptist Women’s Ministries is inviting us to give to the Bridges & Gateways Endowment program. This provides financial resources for today while at the same time securing long-term assets as we look toward the future.
You can read more on GivingTuesday at the AB Women’s Ministries page. But I will summarize it here knowing for many time is short.
Bridges & Gateways Endowment has five distinct funds:
- Beloved Community Fund
- Break the Chains Fund
- In Her Shoes Fund
- Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) Program Fund
- Developing Leaders Fund
Many of these I’m sure you are recognizing as initiatives over the years. The thing all these have in common is providing opportunities to women and girls, of all ages. Giving to this endowment allows American Baptist Women to broaden and deepen the programming and access for all women, young women, and girls. This endowment helps to sustain and secure the future of American Baptist Women’s Ministries as we move toward the future.
It is easy to participate. For any amount you can give, you can be a part of the movement. Every little bit helps.

Thinking “I can’t do a lot!”?
I know money is tight for many, I’m right there with you. The important thing to remember is every little bit helps as we focus on the future and those to come behind us.
Even if you can’t give on GivingTuesday you can always give at any time.
As I look around and see the faces of my four girls, I see some of the future of American Baptist Women’s Ministries and I’m so looking forward to what a difference we as American Baptist Women can make in this world.
GivingTuesday is a perfect opportunity to start.
