Pray for those attending AB GIRLS Conference
Our AB GIRLS Conference starts today. Alecia has shared the theme that will be focused on each day and I’m sharing here in a hopes that you will begin praying for the girls attending, the leaders leading, and the staff supporting.
Let us as AB Women be a conduit of prayer and uplifting power as they meet at Pathfinder lodge this week.
All scripture quoted below is the NIV version using biblegateway.com.
The overall theme of the week is Humble Yourself using the scripture 1 Peter 5:6-7…
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.1 Peter 5:6-7 (NIV)
After registration on Sunday 7/-21, as the girls start to learn more about each other and the week ahead they will be reflecting on Isaiah 65:17.
See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.Isaiah 65:17 (NIV)
I am valued as a Child of God!
Monday will have the reflection upon 1 Samuel 16:7, as the participants realize they are valued. They are valued as a child of God, as a young woman, as a part of our lives and ministry.
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”1 Samuel 16:7 (NIV)
Yield to God
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.James 4:10 (NIV)
Free from the Weight of Worry
Wednesday’s reflection already speaks to me as I type this out and look at the week ahead in my planner.
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.Psalm 55:22 (NIV)
Exalted in Humility
For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.Matthew 23:12 (NIV)
The Great Commission
On Friday the week will wrap up and be reviewed ending with the sending out of the girls back to their homes. Where we will continue to pray for them as they reflect on what they experienced and how to apply it to their lives at home.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.Matthew 28: 19-20 (NIV)
Let us pray that they remember that we are with them, as God is with them, as the weeks go by and their perspective on life may have changed.
Let us remember to uphold the GIRLS as they are
